Yes but the Raritan Valley Line (what's left of it) has been running through those areas all along, with no break in service. Had it been lying dormant since the 1960's and they were trying to reactivate passenger service I'm willing to bet it'd be a completely different story. Cranford and Westfield would have a crap fit with a train stopping in their towns that also stopped in Plainfield, Dunellen and Bound Brook. |
