I was never on any of the old stock that broke down, and, on the ones I rode, their speed was always good.And they made all the right sounds ! I rode the MP-54 at CT. Trolley Museum (Warehouse Point) some years ago. If I closed my eyes and ignored the brake release sounds, the gear meshing sound was almost identical to an R1-9. Agree with this ? Bill Newkirk |
