Having seen the footage of the public meetings on TV last night, I'll tell you what this is REALLY about:As of the census of 2000, there were 13,806 people, 4,774 households, and 3,866 families residing in the borough. The population density was 2,993.4 people per square mile (1,156.3/km2). There were 4,897 housing units at an average density of 1,061.8 per square mile (410.1/km2). The racial makeup of the borough was 76.79% White, 0.96% African American, 0.09% Native American, 19.08% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 1.40% from other races, and 1.67% from two or more races.
