As in my last post:Unit weight/FA=TE Generally, the Factor of Adhesion has been around 25% of unit weight. However radial trucks which allow their individual axles to steer into curves can raise this to as much as 35%. since the "Bubba Batteries"(CSX SD40-3 rebuilds) have HTC trucks rather than HTC-R or other radial designs, I'd have to say their Tractive Effort is purely LaGrange stock. RockParkMan, not just a foaming lib. |
