No. And if by "Highline-style" they mean an artificially landscaped park, there is absolutely no reason to build such a thing. But why not just open up the land for use as a park, without doing any significant construction? They would need to put up some fencing and remove some other fencing, so people could access the land but not adjacent private properties. And that's about it. Possibly some stairs or access ramps might need to be built. Put a bike trail in place of one track. But no need to remove the rest of the old rails, except where there may be something particularly dangerous in them, like sharp rusty points. And certainly no need for significant "architecture" of any kind. |
