Just want to say that this is one of the most enjoyable threads I've ever read here. The short memories I had of riding the Myrtle Av. and the GG were brought back to the forefront. I had blotted out many things because back then, I had some very bad experiences in the neighborhood of Pratt. When I went back to walk around, the place looked quite spruced up to me. The biggest let down (other than riding the G which was a dirty and long wait to get going)that our house @181 Steuben had been converted to an office which was closed when I was there. I will venture back soon as I want to see more. Thank you for posting this and to all who contributed to it. |
