Well...perhaps not beyond remedy, but the Coast Starlight, as with most of the western long-haul trains, is normally marshalled with the sleepers at the front of the train. This would have to be reversed if the Pacific Parlours (note the affected U) were retained as a first-class-only amenity but reconfigured for end-of-train use.
