I don't know *ANYONE* who is a native or who has lived here for any length of time who calls it anything but "BWI." Well, maybe a few tightly-wrapped, anal-retentive types who can't bring themselves to use the vernacular. Only the media includes occasional references to "Thurgood Marshall" in connection with the airport. And, the vast majority of folks (including the airlines) call the close-in airport "National" or "DCA;" Only the media and Republicans call it "Reagan."Sidebar: The term "The DMV" is absurd and simply has got to go. Use "NCA" or "NCR" if you must. |
