I kinda like 49th St. I usually advocate for restoration of original mosaics, but that is one station I hope they leave alone. I remember that station as a kid in the 70's, and it was like an oasis in the middle of how crappy the whole subway was back then. It's hard for anyone that didn't live with the subway in the 70's or 80's to understand. |
