I think the reasoning was that the CC was a rush hour only line so the R46 cars were assigned there to minimize the risk that the trucks would crack until they could be replaced.Correct ! We saw such cars as R-10's on the E and F lines during this time. You could imagine what kind of shape those cars were in by that time.
