Actually it really wouldn't. A lot of Queens blvd people already come in off the Q53, Q11 et al, so these same people would be served. The riders from further down would probably stay on the local since they'd already have a seat. Since they're already saving ~30 minutes over the A's routing, the extra 5 minutes for the local stops is meaningless.What they could do is extend the M even further to Rockaway Park. Weekends the line could be served by the G or something. Also Woodhaven Blvd desperately needs some real rapid transit and this would help that greatly. |
