That's what draws me into it ... the city's politics has always been interesting when things go sideways. Sorta like Chicago, but very different. And projects die all the time - look at SAS. But the city was always meticulous in its paperwork and could come up with the most fanciful justifications for why every stupid thing ever done was pure genius. One would have expected THIS episode to have resulted in "unanticipated problems which would have made further construction wreckless and impractical" laying out dozens of good reasons why this was a good thing to just stop.Nothing ... THAT makes it interesting. :) |
