Yep ... merely means that the power levels are lower than is used for deeper measurement devices. There are high power ones that can see down half a mile for oil exploration. Certainly don't need THAT! :)But I'm sure it's just the limitation of the batteries it runs on - you want to use as few watts as possible and the further you need to drive the signal, the more power you need. |
