What's the rule with the spacing of and placement of subway grates. I notice that the last visible grate on Pitkin Ave is at the NE corner of Pitkin and Conduit Ave, then I notice 2 sets of grates in the median of Conduit Ave, however once I look to the west side of Conduit Ave there seem to be seats of grates with about a yard or two of spacing between them (sometimes less, sometimes more) consistently placed along both sides of Pitkin. |
