ACCESS RESTRICTIONS: Restrictions on this collection apply to drawings or photo-prints of facilities that are currently active. Drawings and photo-prints pertaining to facilities that have closed are available to the public.

Since 76th Street would be accessible from a currently active line they are not releasing anything to the public. All Transit museum tours of abandoned facilities except for City Hall were also canceled post 9-11. For that matter they will not confirm or deny the rumors and we all know what governments mean when they do not address an issue. AFAIAC that in itself is an admission that something exists.

As for records - I have this in my collection which dates to 1948. Unfortunately all it proves is that the station was definitely planned. Whether or not it was actually constructed is open to debate
