A representative of the press is unlawfully detained by the police and prevented from covering a public event? I'm thinking this case will result in more than the usual slap on the wrist for the cops involved. Hopefully they will be fired. In any event, R&R/Carstens Publications suffered a tortuous loss and hopefully they as well as the people who were detained will pursue damages. The more money the city has to pay out the better. |
