I remember getting on an M train in High school, and the interior was all repainted (they didn't bother with the outside). Within days, you couldn't tell it was fresh paint. It's hard for those that didn't love through it to understand, but back then, common thought was that it was here to stay, and how it "is". I never imagined that a train could be graffiti free, and you just accepted that. I remember waiting for a M train one morning with my girlfriend in High school, and I wasn't paying attention as the train was pulling in, and she said "Ooooooh, a red train". (Red R30) All of a sudden, I looked up, saw it, and said, "What the F is THAT!?!?!" It looked alien. it looked clean. I cautiously got on it, and remember saying...."It's nice, but it will never last"...... Luckily, I was proven wrong.... |
