My favorite parts: conservative opponents of incumbent Speaker Joe Straus have said they want him replaced not because of his Jewish religion, but because of his betrayal of Republican principles. Translation: Judas Iscariot was a Jew. "We elected a house with Christian, conservative values. We now want a true Christian, conservative running it," Cook said in the Nov. 30 e-mail, first published by the Texas Observer. Translation: Infidels are not welcome here. Why do we even let these people in the country? "My e-mail said nothing about Jewish people. I just want Christian conservatives in office," he said. Translation: I'm a dog person myself but I think that it should be humans who should lead the Texas House. ...suggesting God would want the Christian conservative coalition to expand. Translation: We don't want hellbound types around us and God has clearly stated that Jews don't go to Heaven. "It's not true at all. I have friends who are Jewish," he said. "I have no racial bigotry." No translation needed Over at the Kaufman County Tea Party, Chairman Ray Myers sent out an e-mail last month saying "we finally found a Christian Conservative who decided not to be pushed around by the Joe Straus thugs." Morrison wrote that Straus lacks the necessary "moral compass" to hold his office and called his competitors "Christians and true conservatives." Judaism and Jews have been, are now and will always be annoying thorns in the side of Christianity because they remind Christians that Christianity is a "new kid on the block" relative to Judaism and that despite 20 centuries of being "infidels" and "nonbelievers" who are going to hell and after numerous attempts to stamp us out in Christ's name, WE ARE STILL HERE. |

In fact, Texas Republicans have been kinder to Straus than the CBC was to Cohen:Mr. Cohen asked for admission, and he got his answer. He's white and the Caucus is black. It's time to move on. We have racial policies to pursue and we are pursuing them, as Mr. Cohen has learned. It's an unwritten rule. It's understood." |
