I know a lot of places that still don't have cable. Univision is a godsend for that. Only problem is that the game is in Spanish.In past editions, the commentary was better on Univision. This year ESPN/ABC has first-rate commentators and ESPN3 also has German, Arabic, Korean and Portuguese options. That probably lessened the number of people that are watching on foreign satellite channels. I remember in the past some Italian people would watch on RAI Satellite or SKY Italia. The studio people are good this year too with Ruud Gullit and Juergen Klinsmann providing analysis. They need to get rid of Alexi Lalas. I like the guy personally but he's horrible in the studio. It was better back when they had Eric Wynalda and Julie Foudy as the American analysts. |
