No. Beer runs about $6 to $10, depending on what beer you are getting. The $6 ones are in a plain cup, the $10 ones in a "souvenir cup". Hotdogs run about $5 to $6. A Philly Cheesesteak is $10 (and they are worth it). Magazines? (???).Pizza is about $5 a slice, a pretzel $4....etc None of the prices are what you would expect in any stadium. Parking? I don't know how much parking is for sure, but I heard it was $12-$19 depending on which garage. I always drive, but I take the Triborough Bridge to Manhattan, which leaves you at 125th St and Lexington Ave. PLENTY of parking right there, park for FREE, and the 125th/Lex subway station is right there....two stops and you are at Yankee Stadium-161st St station. It's great. It's cheap, you miss the rush of all the cars trying to leave at once, and all the congestion around the stadium. After the game, I hop on the 4 train, and less than 10 minutes I am back at my car....get in, hop right on the Triborough bride which is right there, and I am home in Suffolk County in about an hour. Couldn't be easier. |

Their AAA team, the Buffalo Bisons, has the roster of a AA team and down the line.I saw a Buffalo Bisons game in August and something got me thinking. The third base coach was the manager (Ken Oberkfeld). The first base coach was of all people the guy who pitched the previous night (Lance Broadway) who out of default later got promoted to the Mets). The big club has too many coaches. Not only the Mets either. In addition to the regular 3, you have a bench coach, a catching coach, a bullpen coach, an infield coach.......did I leave any out? Look in the dugout when the defense is on the field. The dugout is empty because they carry like 12 pitchers and they hang out in the bullpen. Shouldn't they extra coaches be in Buffalo preparing those guys for the big club? |

The Los Angeles of Orange County Angels of Anaheim lost the game because the second baseman inexplicably made a poor throw in the 13th inning and the Yankees scored more runs than the Angels. If the Angels scored just 2 more runs it would have been a different outcome and the series would now be tied at 1 - 1. |

What do you pay for your cable internet? In Baltimore, we had cable TV in the mid-1980's, but cable internet had to wait to 2002 when Comcast got the Baltimore City company and upgraded the systems structure (fiber to the neighborhood routers). that's when we dropped dial-up for internet. We still pay less for the cable internet than the cable TV, but it's worth it. We pay Comcast $152.00 per month and it's worth the buck$. |
