You're complaining about partisan crap after pushing this subthread right into the partisan bickering? I said nothing about the politics involved, merely commented that Democracy worked. If you choose to take that a certain way, that's your fault. What needs to stop is the fucking piling-on. You don't need to add some superflous point after Olog, Train Dude, and Luch have already made the same fucking point. The same goes for the other side too, but we seem to have lives, so there tends to be less piling on. |

We are FRIENDS...and we will remain that way..Yes, and while we didn't agree on THIS, that is an aside. People can't agree on "everything" and never will. But we all have to get passed this now. We have a new President, and we all have to come together as ONE country. As I have been saying for a long time, "the other side is not the enemy", and a house divided falls on itself, and this country is divided. i want to see it together again. And to do that, we as a country must ALL support President Obama, whether he was our choice or not. That never happened for President Bush, except for a short while in 2001. And the first step to coming back together as a country is to put this election behind now, as it's over. |

The Lehman Brothers bankruptcy suddenly making this an election on pocketbook/wallet issues instead of immigration and national security. The RNC was never able to refocus on the economy. Now, the Republican Party needs to start over...they have seriously lost their way. With an upset in North Carolina yet to be called (Obama is leading by 15,000 votes approximately), and one not yet called in Indiana, the GOP may be in for some serious trouble if it doesn't remember what the hell it stands, or stood, for.
