God did not take dante away to cause hurt and pain he took him away because he was IN PAIN, Dante to all outward appearances may have seemed to be "OK" but i know he was suffering for a very long time....and that he expended huge amounts of energy not to let the pain and or discomfort he was in show.... |

That is not a tradition. it is supposed to say the 5th. The person preparing the Obituary obviously had a 2006 calendar infront of them seing as the 6th was on a thursday. I do think it was strange that it wasnt mentioned last night but I didnt want to say anything about it. |

Dante had courage in abundance. Like my friend in the 11th grade who had bone cancer. Never complained once. I never knew his true agony - I could only try to imagine it and empathize - and do what I could to make his life easier.I carried his bookbag for him, and the hardest thing for me was to convince him it was not an act of charity. He was so self-propelled. I miss him today still. All the best to you! |

Fortunately, it let up for a bit as we got to Philly, but then came down again when I was on SEPTA and DART. Same operator I had last week and another trip back. IDK how, but we made Philly a good 20 minutes early. Kudos to you guys for running strong in weather like that |

I've been thinking about him for the entire past week and I've never even met or spoken to him. (I was even dreaming about him one night.) I wasn't even sure if we even corresponded on subchat or buschat since I only pay attention to the handles if it's someone who regularly replies to my posts. (There are only about 3.) So I checked some of my more recent posts and it seems he responded directly to something I posted just a couple of days before he went into the hospital. I didn't reply because he was only posting a comment, not posing any question. But seeing that only made me feel worse, thinking I might have had other conversations with him not realizing it. From now on, I'm going to try to pay a little more attention to the handles, not just the subject matter. |

Paying attention to the handles allows you to get a feel for each person's style. It also allows you to make correct assumptions in the future when trying to interpret someone's post. Making those correct assumptions, and going from there, saves a lot of ill-will and flamage when the wrong assumptions are made. |
