Tesla vandal is caught, but the DA supports the perp
Posted by Orange Blossom Special on Mon Apr 21 23:25:14 2025 he Hennepin County Attorney’s Office said today it will not seek criminal charges against 33-year-old Dylan Adams, who allegedly vandalized at least six Tesla vehicles, causing over $20,000 in damage. Minneapolis Police Chief: "Our investigators are always frustrated when the cases they poured their hearts into are declined. In my experience, the victims in these cases often feel the same. Any frustration related to the charging decision of the Hennepin County Attorney should be directed solely at her office." ------- The damages seem low to me, I wonder what the deal is with that number of if it is incorrect. But in Minneapolis, the rest of the story sounds believable. What used to be America's nicest big city had been completely destroyed.

They used to hang horse thieves. Now kids just being kids is a societal norm. It used to be a great city.

Minneapolis does have much more crime that it used to but you tend to get what you vote for. That said I don’t know that this approach to first offenders is responsible for the increase. Speaking of voting, living in California I notice that voters take zero responsibility for anything that happens. It must be human nature because everyone blames someone else regardless of whether the cause was a proposition or politician that they themselves voted for.

In a constitutional Republic, the people also, by majority vote at the polls, select rulers, who make laws by majority vote among themselves; but the rulers cannot make any laws they please because the Constitution severely restricts their lawmaking power. The ideal of a democracy is universal equality. The ideal of a constitutional Republic is individual liberty. In this century, great strides have been made toward the goal of subverting our Republic and transforming it into a democracy. One tactic of the subverters is subversion of language.
