Bribery was not in the articles of impeachmentThe word "bribery" was not. However, the offense as described was the solicitation of a bribe nonetheless. |

I never said the left doesn't use those tactics. What I was saying was, the media and Democrats have spent 4 years setting up this election to be a referendum on how Trump is everything wrong with politics today. To benefit from this setup they just need to look like the adults in the room for just a little while. The problem is they have undermined that argument repeatedly within the past few months:-Warren making Justice Roberts read a stupid impeachment question -Pelosi tearing up SOTU speech -Schumer threatening Supreme Court Justices during some grandstanding pro-choice speech -Biden getting mad at voters asking tough questions ("No one needs an AR-14!" "look, fat!"). |

If that was the case it would be stated more directly in the articles of impeachment, and the articles would contain an actual allegation of a crime. They did not. |

Biden et al have said some unkind things, but they are gentleness personified compared to accusing Joe Scarborough of murder. |

If what was the case?I did not say that Trump was accused of soliciting a bribe. I said that the actions that Trump was accused of constituted solicitation of a bribe. For their own political reasons, the accusers did not want to use the word "bribe." But they described the activity. |
