Not only that, the FDNY radios in use at the time were not able to warn the firefighters in the north tower about the collapse of the south tower and get the fuck out of there since the FDNY brass on the scene sensed an imminent North Tower collapse |

A friend of ours who is a retired FDNY captain was really, really angry about the radio procurement decision. He thought the actual decision maker had plenty of information to know at the time the decision was made that there were better radios available. |
