There's a lie if ever I heard one. That bitch can't be 69 years old. There is no way she's only 69 years old. No human being could get that ugly in just 69 years. |

Whoopi was once a very likable person---on TV, on the screen and in her relationships with people. Politics have gotten very ugly the past two or so decades and now friendships go by the board very rapidly these days. I have two former friends who I haven't shared a word with in five years. Sad but true. Whoopi just fell into that trap....or enthusiastically led herself fall into it. W e have a few from our side who have done the route in a different direction, but to me I see them as allies. It just about whose ox is getting gourd. |

Whoopi gauged which way the wind was blowing and adjusted accordingly to further her career. Jimmy Kimmel did the same thing - he went from leering at women bouncing on trampolines to the crying talk-show liberal. Both of them are as phony as a $3 bill. |

The excuse offered by the bakery does seem odd. They aren't saying that their boiler was down. They're saying that it gives them trouble and that they couldn't commit to an order that they might not have been able to fill. That makes sense if they weren't taking any future orders, but that does not appear to have been the case. Did they get a new boiler between the two orders? |

And she didn't even name the bakery. On reddit I see that several LA businesses are being targeted for boycotts for supporting Trump. I wonder if those businesses will also get support from Trump backers? I suspect not. My theory is that the same part of your brain that causes you to support/worship entertainers or athletes is the same part of the brain that is activated by political junkies. That it's supercharged fandom not rooted in logic. On both sides. |

As I undersood it she made the order for two weeks later in the future and the boiler was giving them trouble and they had no idea if it would get worse or break down totally in two weeks. |

Yeah, maybe something was fixed. From what I read, she initially wanted an order for two dates - Nov 6 and Nov 14. They declined both.I have to imagine that order that was ultimately filled without using her name was also placed in advance. You don't just show up and expect them to have that. I haven't read anywhere how far apart the two orders were. Really what stuck out was how precisely worded the statement was from the bakery. They didn't say that the boiler was down when Whoopi called, just that it gives them trouble. That would seem to imply that all advance orders would be turned away unless it was replaced between order requests. |

It seems that whoopie is looking to create an issue where none exists. The order was reportedly not placed in her name. Are we to assume that the baker some how knew through some Devine notification, who the order was for, and then in some flash of brilliance, determined that refusing the order would provide a massive ground swell of popularity and public support? It would make more sense that if one bakery in NYC expressed doubts about filling the order, she'd be grateful and seek out a bakery in a city of hundreds of bakeries, one that could fill her order. Typical leftist whining. |
