Posted by cortelyounext on Thu Jul 25 11:52:05 2024 Beginning the day Biden announced he was withdrawing, Kamala Harris ads have been ubiquitous on YouTube. They are "Sponsored", they begin at the start of many videos and they also interrupt many videos after a few minutes which is now a common theme across the (basic) YouTube platform unless you register for YouTube Premium which I will certainly not do. Every ad has Harris, the Oakland product, sitting in the same office chair and speaking directly into the camera expressing some of her views, commenting on the dangers of electing Trump, and seeking donations. I have never seen anything remotely approaching this level of advertising by a candidate or company before. Actually, I have seen some company suit constantly interrupting videos talking about installing residential solar panels in Westchester County and upstate New York while he is standing in front of the Tappan Zee sorry I meant to write The Honorable Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.

It's worse than a panhandler. It started just before the announcement, but kicked into high gear thereof. I'm sick of Youtube now. I'm trying to think of the ads I used to see (skip) beforehand, but they're almost never local for me. Except once in a while for an election.
