So I'm looking for some group buyers to come in thru joint venture,rent the place out for 3 grand for the ground and First landing..4 for the 3rd floor. And 4 1/2 for the top. |

Bill, I can feel for those people who have answered this post. Out here in California houses are ridiculously priced so young couples cannot afford to put their families in a home and, instead, have to pay an inordinate amount of money for rent. In January, 1973, my wife and I bought a home in Arcadia, a nice community of fine homes, for $40,000. Today I could not come close to affording this home. Prices are over the roof and mine has been tentatively listed at $1.200.000. Mortgage payments are close to $4000 per month. That is ridiculous. Young people are getting priced out of buying a single dwelling. Someone is making hay at the expense of the people most in need. It simply sucks. |

There are deep-pocketed investors and hedge funds that are investing in real estate. In NYC and probably in SF and LA, investors buy apartments but never live in them. The effect of this is that the price of real estate is kept high. |
