Actually, there are several articles posted about the decline of pastel toilet paper. One said that it fallout of favor in the 80s. Of course I'll bet that bingbong read them all before she got it wrong. |

What if you were born during colonial times?What would you use? What did people use before toilets were invented? Before toilet paper, people mainly used whatever was free and readily available for personal hygiene. Unfortunately, many of the options were quite painful: Wood shavings, hay, rocks, corn cobs, and even frayed anchor cables. |

I've heard, but do not remember the source, that Arab's that roamed the deserts, used their left hand to use sand for this purpose.And the right hand was to be used to eat with. Further, to offer the left hand to "Shake" with was deemed to be a terrible insult. Can anyone verify this? |

Offering the left hand to "shake" was not so much an insult as it was to seem combative. The right hand was offered for a handshake as a sign of peace showing the outstretched empty hand and not holding a sword.I guess there were no southpaws back then. |
