Will be interesting to see if next phase will only include top 2 vote getters or top 3.In actual practice, it's done one step at a time. The summary reporting ought to include at least the top 3. Garcia definitely has a good chance to edge out Wiley as the candidate who ends up in the final runoff with Adams. |

I was not sure if they ran it one step at a time or they just took the candidates who mathematically could not get to 50% off the table at one time. Personally I don't see how anyone under Garcia can get to 50% and Yang has already conceeded. Since Wiley is unlikely to be #2 on more ballots of Yang and Co. than Garcia, I am sure she is going to want Garcia out of the running when the next round is run and you can really skew RCV to a desired candidate based on how you make that initial cut. |

So the next round will include all the serious candidates (Adams, Garcia, Yang, Wiley, Stringer, Morales, McGuire, and Donovan) and eliminate the joke candidates like Paperboy Love Prince. Will be interesting to see the order of disqualification of the main candidates. |

Eric adams headed a group called 100 black men in law enforcement, clearly a racist organization. There is no reason to believe that he now rejects the very racism that has served him well in the past. |

I am sure they run it one step at a time. Not sure what you're getting at in terms of skewing, but the second through fifth choices of people who voted for Paperboy Love Prince as their #1 are exactly as important as the second through 5th choices of those who chose Andrew Yang as their first choice. Assuming that only Adams, Wiley, and Garcia have a chance, the order in which every single voter ranked those three matters for the final outcome. Paperboy Love Prince, Yang, Adams, Wiley, Garcia becomes exactly as much an eventual vote for Adams (or possibly Wiley) as simply Adams, Wiley, Garcia does. |
