For the most part I had fabulous professors at the Private university I attended, but there were some really bad ones as well. The problem is there is little hope for change because a Ph.D. is a requirement and those that have a valid thesis that contradicts the very left leaning norm won't get the Ph.D. Unfortunately this is a true even in disciplines where politics should not be a factor at all. Even if they do get a Ph.D. they face an additional hurdle that many tenure committees tend to want to keep the status quo. |

This has been explained to me countless times but I still do not understand.
