I just read the article, and it is 10 minutes of my life I will never get back. I will do my best to be as diplomatic as I possibly can, I will try not to call you or anyone else names. My met Rabbi Meir Kahane when my late father and I matched against the nazis in 1977. I have read his books, and I am an admirer of his. Kahane and now his grandson Meir Ettinger are patriots. Judea and Samaria, or as you probably call it, the west bank, is occupied territory. The arab muslims are occupying Jewish Israeli land.Despite our differences, I do believe you do you do want the best for the Jewish people. Our people, as I would like to think you feel the same way towards me. As sad as it is to admit, the tragedy in Pittsburgh last October really got me down and depressed. I went to a vigil in the Loop, sponsored by a reform temple, and not just reform Jews were there, but conservative, orthodox, as well as Hasidic Jews were there all coming there for a purpose. I might not have agreed with the politics of the reform temple, but all forms of Judaism were there, as well as many righteous Christians. We all set aside our political differences and prayed together. So we may have our differences, but we are both Jews first, political affiliations second. |

The term "anti-American" has long been used to describe people who totally acknowledge America's right to exist, but just think that American foreign policy is a total disgrace. I am somewhat uncomfortable with "anti-Israel" implying denying Israel's right to exist and not just opposing Israel's domestic and foreign policies. There's something strongly non-parallel here, and Ologists often use it to their advantage. |
