I thought that, with the allergic reactions some acquaintances of mine had with anything resembling milk, plus the really strict exclusion of dairy from local Jewish restaurancts, I thought it was more common. |

The reason for the restriction of dairy is that a Kosher restaurant is either meat or dairy, not both. There are plenty of restaurants with a Kosher dairy certification. |
