Actually, Lane Bryant and other women's retailers are waking up to the fact that plus-size apparel has accounted for a significant amount of the garment industry's revenues for quite a few years now. They're beginning to appeal to that segment of the market in a more visible way. That's not #fatfeminism at all, but rather capitalism at work. |

That 1500 is merely typical, all depends on metabolism as to what that "stay put" level requires. Out here, we do about 2000 but we burn off the rest. then again we don't really worry about the metrics as we're both at proper weight and all just the way we live.I am perpetually amused by concern over bingbong's weight. Cancer does amazing things to knock that down to shit and maintaining it once there is a piece of cake. I'll just stipulate that I'm 175 and bingbong is a lot less, and I'm 6'0, she's 5'10 and leggy so it's all good. Gotta love watching the "great de-bait" though. Heh. Now what is R2 gonna do? That whole thing erupted over an ancient video of a software story done by a local channel. The video was originally shot by a local TV station using an old 4:3 image ratio camera and broadcast in 16:9 format before analog TV finally went away. Always have been amused by folks who believe what they see on TV. :) |

And I guess you can say they burn more because some workouts jack up your metabolism beyond the workout. But you can't really outtrain a bad diet. I see so many people at the gym who are always fat. Pounding the treadmill. Lifting weights 5x wk. |

Most of them only show up at the gym because their doctor, or their company ordered them to one way or another. I dunno. If you have a lawn to maintain, snow to shovel, long walks to get anywhere, stairs to climb regularly, or chasing kids off your lawn (heh) there's plenty of alternatives to the gym that work even better. :)If our weight stays the same, or fluctuates by a few pounds, always going the other way, nothing to sweat about. But if you sit on your ass, ride conveyances instead of walking, or just play sit on your ass - then you need the gym. What can I say? Heh. |

Sane people don't obsess unless they wanna be a turtle. Heh.We don't sweat this kinda stuff, but I suppose that if you live in a urban/suburban hiphop scene, that might be as good as it gets if your solution to moving your ass is getting in a car, taxi or whatever. If you keep active and just DO stuff, don't see the need for any of that. But that's just me I guess. :) Personally, folks who grunt and show off just don't do it for me. Paging R2D2 for another "clever retort." There's MY contribution for obsessing, we're gonna make that boy a star yet on TLC! |
