The DA in the Garner case wasn't trying to find a reason to indict the cops. He put on a grand jury to make it look good politically, then intentionally threw the case, IMO.In the Gray case, Mosby spelled out each element of the charges she brought against the accused, and unlike other cases of young Black men dying in police custody, she is likely to actually prosecute this case with the vigor it deserves. |

A conflict of interest is where different forces conflict to prevent someone from doing their job. For example, if a prosecutor is friends with the defendant's family.But here there is no conflict. All forces would induce her to prosecute vigorously, which is her job. She has to obey the law and judicial rules in the course of her prosecution, but so does every prosecutor. There's nothing special here. |
