Posted by JayZeeBMT on Fri May 1 11:18:30 2015 In a press conference that ended just a shorter while ago, Baltimore State Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced that Freddie Gray's death, of injuries sustained while he was in Baltimore police custody, have been ruled a homicide, and that six cops involved in Gray's arrest will face criminal charges....but, but, but, Gray intentionally broke his own back, right? |

Mosby: "The police had no probable cause to arrest Mr. Gray" 2. Mosby: "No crime had been committed by Mr. Gray" 3. Mosby: "The police, at no time, restrained Mr. Gray, in violation of a BPD General Order" 4. Mosby: "Mr. Gray, on at least five occasions, requested a medic. The officers did not summon one, nor did they render any assistance to Mr. Gray". 5. Mosby: "By the time Mr. Gray arrived at the police station, he was not breathing at all". Mr. Gray was, in FACT, in cardiac arrest when responding EMTs arrived at the police station. Mr. Gray was, in FACT, killed as a result of severe, traumatic injuries sustained while he was in the care and custody of the six police officers now charged with serious felonies, including second-degree murder. It is my OPINION, to which I am entitled, that the FACT that Gray is dead, is indefensible. PLUS, I wasn't "wrong" in all my "past conclusions", merely because others have walked away from their crimes in similar circumstances. If prosecutors intentionally throw cases involving cops killing Black people under highly suspicious circumstances, that doesn't mean it ain't murder or manslaughter. It just means the guilty parties got away with it. |

He's not saying it's a criminal act (for a change); he's saying it's reprehensible. The latter is an opinion that can be dismissed as premature, but can also be acknowledged as not unreasonable.The cops in Ferguson and SI may not have been found guilty of any criminal offense, but based on the evidence given it's certainly a defensible opinion to say that they acted inappropriately, recklessly, reprehensibly, or any other similar adjective you might want to use. You have a brain damaged younf man going into a van with a healthy spine and coming out with a severely damaged one. To say that this is unacceptable police conduct doesn't need to wait for a jury verdict as to whether it's criminal. |

This one is purely political, and I'm sure after a trial most, if not all of the cops will be aquitted. |
