The Bible is pretty clear that being homosexual is not a sin and of itself. How one should act upon that urge if he or she has it and whether doing so is sinful is an entirely different matter. And Jewish law has no issue with a civil society permitting same sex marriage, even if it is believed or determined that Jews should not have such marriages (and I'm not necessarily saying that is the case, Jewish law with regards to homosexuality is not an area that I would consider myself to be knowledgeable enough in to make grander pronouncements). |
