Posted by cortelyounext on Sun Feb 15 19:21:06 2015 fiogf49gjkf0d So there we were coming down final to 29 on the Bridge Visual late this afternoon. Said Bridge Visual is an approach me and the other guy, hereafter referred to as OG for purposes of this thread, have never flown not ever but there we were. So as we come over the New Jersey Turnpike there were a couple planes waiting to cross 4L after landing on 4R. So those guys are watching us fighting the gusty crosswinds and one of those guys comes over Tower frequency with "Come on, baby" as a sort of supportive and encouraging comment. Flying makes absolutely no sense none. The whole thing is just crazy.

I saw a classic, old fashioned Shop-Rite delivery truck on the NJ Turnpike pass underneath us... it is strange the things you remember.

I forgot that the new split scimitar have a slightly lower crosswind limit and since the majority of Untied's 73's are of the old style I probably just assumed you were flying one
