Text corrected.Explain what's racist about the fact that Zimmerman apparently likes fast food and/or will be wearing a bulletproof vest because paranoia is kind of his thing? Better yet, if you're completely clueless about what racism is, how about you explain exactly what Mr Martin should have done to avoid being killed? He tried running away, he tried calling a friend, he tried calling for help, so exactly what should he have done? |

A jury that was approved by the prosecution aquitted him and said George did notthing wrong. He even got his gun back. How do we really know Martin was NOT up to no good? If he was totally innocent he would have told George he was basically going home to his dad's home. He also would be thankful of George's efforts to keep his father's community safe, so he COULD walk around and not get harmed. The two then could have parted as friends. Martin could even have offered to join George's patrol. |

Zimmerman NEVER identified himself. He attaempted to grab Mr Martin, who, having every right to be there punched him in the face. Not to mention that he had no official capacity and kids these days learn abduction paranoia early and have continual reinforcement not to discuss anything with strangers, as Zimmerman was to Mr Martin. A 17 year old need not answer to anyone excluding police and school officials while at school.Zimmerman is a lone gun nutcase, a pest to the police and there was no organized neighborhood watch in that community coordinated with the Sanford police. |

Ok you have made your opinion clear and once again I respect it. Neither of us were there and I happen to see it a different way.I think we can agree that both of us wish that somehow this would never have happened and Mr. Martin would be alive today. As a Right wing pro-lifer, I am NOT happy that Mr. Martin is dead. I also have concerns that Mr. Zimmerman could have easily been killed if Mr. Martin did get the gun and shot him. Of course if Zimmerman stayed in the dam car this would never have happened either or if the police did protect the community there would be no Zimmerman. Finally I remember reading that Zimmerman did get out of the car because he was tired of the perps getting away. There was a story reported that on previous occasions by the time the police arrived the perp escaped. If I had the link I would post it. |
