As for the outback analogy....its not a question of being allowed in outback or not.....its the loss of business. A vegetarian boycotting outback wouldn't mean much at all as they are highly unlikely to go there to begin with. There's nothing great about the Great state of Mississippi.....its not high on Gays tourism list.....nor many others. Only time I went there was driving through a stop at biloxi to break up a ride from Orlando to new Orleans one night. Not much else to do there. |

Hebrew and Yiddish are not native languages of the Americas, nor are they the de facto language of a state or territory of America, but if you want to include them we can go right ahead. In fact, let's just make this easier and declare that all languages are the official language of the United States. |

Still won't answer my question, even though I told you about myself. You still haven't answered my question— why does my race matter? That you told me yours is irrelevant; I'm not a racist myself, so I don't need to know your race to determine the legitimacy of your arguments. Aparently you're not proud of your background. (a) Why is the colour of my skin or the national origin of my ancestors something I'm even supposed to be "proud" of? I consider all forms of hereditary privilege to be anathema; the idea that I should take pride in traits which are completely inborn just seems silly. (b) That I won't tell my race to a racist is generally good practice. Moreover, if I did tell you my race, we'd just get into a bunch of irrelevant quibbles over whether my arguments are inherently invalid simply by virtue of the fact that I belong to the Inferior Race™ or whether I'm a "traitor" for betraying the Superior Race® by accepting that other people are human (depending on your exact flavour of racism). So I ask you again— exactly why do you need to know what race I am to determine whether my arguments are valid? |
