An invisible higher power? Every single other adaptation that I've seen based on the original story, mentions God in some way! Geez...Even this 1992 Nintendo video game adaptation mentioned God, in the story from the instruction manual!* *Then again, this was only released in Europe and Australia. Go figure. |

I must be dating myself here (the last time I dated myself I slapped myself for getting too fresh).None of you remember the famous Bill Cosby routine about Noah and the Ark? Whenever God (Cosby) would say something to Noah (Cosby), Noah would always say "rrrriiiiiiggggghhhhhtttttt" and ask question like "Who is this really?", or "What's an Ark?" or "What's a cubit?". As to why God is not mentioned in the movie - I have no idea. Perhaps the producers/writers etc were going for a more scientific approach to the subject or maybe they wanted to get up close and personal with Noah. Whatever the reason is I ask - does it really matter? People believe what they want be it a religious, scientific or atheistic view. The movie has been made and let the critics reviews and box office receipts fall where they may. |
