She was actually my Congressperson for a month and a half. They redrew the district boundaries, she was reelected and now served the area where I lived, she was sworn in early January, I moved to another area (and congressional district) in late February. (Right-wingers, insert your own joke here) :)This is my current Representative. Sorry, but I think Debbie is better looking :) |

In 2008 I thought for sure that McCain was going to win by the largest landslide in U.S. history, and the only state or district obama was going to win would be Washington DC. I never realized how strong white guilt was in this country. If people here were stupid enough to put obama in, nothing surprises me. And I would possibly consider voting for a democrat for president if their last name was not obama,Clinton,Biden,Emanuel or Kerry. |

The cocnept that voting for a black man is "turning against your own" cannot be anything else. It's not as though whites have been oppressed by blacks over the last 3 centuries in North America, or anything like that, after all. |

Whites sometimes get treated unfairly in this country, but less often proportionately than any minority group. I would agree that the Tawana Brawley case is a reason never to vote for Sharpton, but I wouldn't say you could use it as a reason never to vote for a Democrat. |

I had intentions on voting for obama, because he's from Chicago. On March 17, 2008, when it was revealed that he along with his family went 20 years to a racist, anti-white, anti-American church for 20 years, he became the man who happenned to be black running for president, to the black presidential civil rights candidate. No better then Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. |
