Back in 1968 when I was at BAI, Barry Farber was kinda sane. Kinda. But he never much bothered me at all afterward. As I've explained way too many times, in 1980, bingbong and I worked for "Family Television, Inc" which owned channel 54 in Poughkeepsie. It was a shadow company for Jim and Tammy Bakker (PTL) with part ownership by the Donald Duck Bottling company of virginia (Falwell) as well as Pat Robertson (CBN). In 1981 after Reagan won, they sold it to Paul and Jan Crouch (TBN).While working there, I was engineering as well as the news department. We owned a humongous former ABC Sports field production truck and were constantly on the road doing shows for all of them. We got to listen to them before and after the show plotting republican party strategy with the mucky mucks of the GOP and they believed we were both loyal born again wrong wingers, so they'd proudly let us in on their plans. So no third parties needed, we both got to see it up close and personal as first and second parties. :( |
