Um, if you were paying $459 quarterly you were getting crap. Back in 2004 my employer then only paid for my insurance, and I had to pay $400 per month for my wife.I pay $400/mo now just as my share of medical insurance for my wife and me, with my employer paying the rest, and that's no cadillac plan either. |

I think they're expecting insurance to be the "Shifty of Encino" version with 100% copay. It takes some REALLY bad insurance to not make the bottom rung of Obamacare. :( |

The best gas is in the areas closest to PA north border. Most of that is west and south of the NYC Watershed, except for some of the Cannonsville drainage. There's also a fair amount of gas in the Watershed, just not the best areas. By 2050, there will be a big push to drill for that gas too, and by then either fracking will be banned or totally safe. |

Here in Baltimore we are still talking about a "Light Rail" (AKA Streetcar) line down Edmonson Avenue (like the 14 streetcar line years ago) to downtown where it goes underground through downtown and then goes back up to City Hospital in East Baltimore. It will use 3 car trains of low floor type which will also be used on the original "Light Rail" line which runs from Timonium to BWI Airport and to Ann Arundal County. It's cars need replacing since they were built in the 1980's. |

Yep ... last year there were plenty of hippies complaining about it and got to look at some of the maps. Delaware side of the NYC water supply had the most territories, but there were also sites feeding Shandaken downstream from them. I remember how crazy it got in Woodstock over septic systems that had zero chance of every downstreaming into the NYC reservoirs, these are more possible. Should be interesting to see what comes of it once NYC DEP folks notice. :) |
