There was a whole hoohah in the industry over what happened (she was drunk but the contract prevented her from peecuppery and so it couldn't be proven) ... her "morals contract" portion had nothing about cursing on air either given that it was such an old contract, and so there was little they could do about it other than not renewing when it expired.You should SEE what's in talent contracts THESE days. And I remember the channel 2 incident as well ... I'm sure his contract is solid now too. :) The problem with many of these older contracts is that even if they shitcan you, they've got to pay out your contract to get rid of you unless it's for specific cause and in addition the contract has a clause that lets them out of paying you. Nowadays, that's all pretty much iron clad. Wasn't when Sue first joined up at the biscuit. |
