I stopped looking out my window looks like the lines only stop when the place is closed.. I'm sure some folks spent the night in their cars waiting for it to open! |

Shamrock (you know where that is) had a line of about 1 hour this afternoon at 1 PM. That line has gotten longer as people return home from work and school. Governor Cuomo now says that the problem is that people are hoarding gas. I don't know if that's so but he's yet to take any steps to try to control the situation. BTW: Shamrock was $4.19 9/10 CASH per gallon for regular - no premium. Credit was $4.39 9/10 per gallon. |

Running across to Taco Bell - well that's dangerous crossing Main St. and even more so if you have to sit in line for any length of time. |

Very long lines in my area (Garden City South/Franklin Square). Fortunately I filled up all 3 cars the day before Sandy hit. We haven't driven much since then so that all are still at least 3/4 full. I hope the lines disappear by the time I need more! |

As far as hoarding is concerned the heck with both Cuomo and Chrystie. I've been sitting in a dark cold house for a week now and if I don't mind sitting on a gas line for over an hour and paying my own money, it's nobody's business how little gas I buy. I'm effen proud that I topped off my tank when it was 3 quarters full. THERE!!BY the way, I sat on a long line in my mail truck this morning. It isn't so bad when you're getting paid!! Posted on my laptop at the public library as LIPA still hasn't restored my power.

Everytime I hear the news talk about price gouging I remember the economic system is based on supply and demand. Of course there is a problem when someone gets on a gas line blocks away from the station and doesn't know the price. |

Unless they are willing to impose regulations requiring a minimum purchase then they shouldn't complain about them. As for me, I filled my car + 2 5 gallon gas cans in case I need the generator Weds. night |

You know, supply & demand. |

CBS news tonight had one gas station owner who still doesn't have electrons cranking away and taking care of his customers at the regular rate. There was plenty of gas in the ground during Irene up here. Lots of 55 gallon drums with cranks and pipe long enough to reach down the hole. That's how folks here handled it. But leave it to our conservatards to whine like hipsters and not lift a finger to pitch a hand. |

Terrible.Stations either have no gas at all, or 100 car lines. Luckily I still had a lot of gas in my boat, and siphoned it out. I was able to put some in my car, put some in my girlfriend's car, and drove some over to my father to put in his car too. |

I don't consider what I paid, gouging...storm. You know, supply & demand. That was his point. They are not gouging because it's against the law. If it were truly supply and demand, they could probably charge upwards of $20 a gallon and still be selling. |
