THANK you for biting into this rail, brother! :)I grew up in the city during its most decadent time - two words, "Christopher Street" ... when I was young, I had my doubts as to my own sexuality, but hanging out with the drag queens was both amusing and educational. I doubt anyone remembers 1970's "Rollerina" a Wall Street investment broker who'd skate around the village with a magic wand - really NICE people generally and very kind. Homophobes are people who are hung up about THEMSELVES and somehow, rather than DEALING with it, decide to strike out against "queers" everywhere. A spiritual, or moderately well adjusted person would only be amused by it all - certainly not feeling the need to go on the attack. Compare and contrast with the Fallwells and other misadjusted people to whom "gay marriage" is a hot button issue. But every one of those who are SO obsessed about it really need to be measured for a gown and get it over with. :) |
