And that's exactly why the US stopped enthusiastically supporting Mubarak once he was on his way out. It would have been better in terms of stability if he had stayed, but that wasn't an option.This way at least there won't be 40 years of Egypt despising the US for thwarting the will of the people, the way there has been in Iran. |
