Thank God for the Egyptian Armed Forces.In my drunker moments, I'd argue that the ideal would be for the military to take a deep state role where it stays in the background, but steps in when an Islamist government comes to power. The secularists and reformers should ally with the military to write a Constitution and keep the Islamists out of power, but one could argue that it's too late for that now. |
