"protected" means that the registrar won't permit the domain name to be changed by another domain registrar without their approval. Think of it as the same as anti-slamming back in the days when you'd pick up the phone and find out that somebody changed your long distance service from AT&T to silvercup phone company.And "whoisguard" is a registrar also ... the actual registrant does not appear in the record. That's how things are done today. Perfectly normal. |
